Teaching English is hard (but fun) work and is a great way for you to use a skill you’ve been working on since you were 2 years old! You’ll need to get certified with a CELTA certificate (certificates from other competing brands such as the TEFL are not generally accepted in Switzerland). It will also help if you have a minimum of 2 years of previous teaching experience and it will be even easier if you’re already certified as a teacher (not just CELTA).
Insider Tip: Getting CELTA certified can be expensive here in Switzerland. CELTA courses are offered worldwide and can be completed in as little as one-month. Some of our readers have suggested taking the course in England, where it can be 1/4 of the price.
